We are in the Bahamas! No pictures yet… you shall have to wait until we get home until they are uploaded onto my computer. Everything is going swell - the sun is bright and hot while the water is warm and clear.
Some of the highlights so far include feeding angelfish out of my hand, right off of the beach(!) and visiting Atlantis, that ‘horrid tourist shit-hole’.
It is a tourist trap, albeit a very beautiful one.
Tonight we had dinner at the Poop Deck and it was glorious. The Lord of the Realm and I ordered a frozen pina colada daquiri after the meal. We then walked back to the resort and took many pictures of the sunset and surrounding harbour area.
It is now midnight, so I suspect that it is time for me to go to sleep. Enjoy your day at work!!!!

We’re leaving tonight for the Bahamas! I don’t expect to have the urge to update the journal until we return, so cross your fingers and wish us luck!
*Pictures when we return.*

to overdose on Reeses Pieces. It probably would have been okay had I bought the ‘normal’ kind, not the Easter egg ones with hard pastel candy shells over the Reese part of it.
Tonight the LotR prepared a tasty Greek meal for the both of us… some kind of lemon cream and chicken on pasta. It was delicious.
I have a rant concerning politics and the so-called ‘war’ in Iraq, but I need to think about it more before I write it out… See, why does the US keep saying that they are ‘fighting for our freedom’? Geez, it’s not like we’re beating back the British from controlling the colonies anymore… we invaded Afghanistan and Iraq for Christ’s sake! Even if we hadn’t invaded and if Iraq HAD proven to have weapons of mass destruction to use against us, the US people would still be free to say exactly what we want and do what we want, until some other country took over the government, which is unlikely to happen, since the moment any country sends WMD against us, they will be, as the LotR so aptly put it, a parking lot by the next morning. So Cut the Nationalistic logos and say exactly what you are fighting for - trying to make underdeveloped ‘children’ countries grow up. (anyone knows that children must grow up themselves… any attempt otherwise makes them rebellious and defiant like… um… Iran?)
It’s back to the daily grind again in the morning… hurray for payroll week.
At least the extra work ensures that the week will pass by quickly - though not fast enough.
Late Friday night, the Lord of the Realm and I will be boarding a plane to the Bahamas, there to spend a week of glorious sun on the hot sandy beach, in the crystal clear water, and wandering the busy city streets. Not that I know what it is like in that part of the world, for I’ve never before been. I am SO looking forward to the vacation.
On the way home from the Bahamas, we’re stopping over in Charlotte, NC to visit my family, who I’ve not seen in a year. It will be the first time that the Lord of the Realm meets my family and vice versa. It should be interesting. Quite interesting.

I have posted two book reviews today - The Magician’s Guild, and The Novice - both by Trudi Canavan. Methinks that I have found a new author to keep track of. The books are staying on my shelf, at any rate.
We went on a hike up South Mountain this morning. I had the option of staying home and sleeping in, but since I went to bed so freakishly early last night (9pm) I decided to go. Also another factor played part in my decision - I want to look good in a bikini next week in the Bahamas! What better way to both get in shape and get tan than to run up and down hills inthe world’s largest city park? Sadly, I scraped up one leg pretty badly and killed my knees yet again, but those should both be fine by the time we board the plane.
A few days ago, I saw a quote…”you’re only as old as your knees”. Really? Gee. I must be at least 50. I fell so many times playing basketball in high school that they are majorly fucked. I suppose downhill running doesn’t help them much.
I was going to fix a pair of jeans this week, but when I dug out my never-used sewing kit, there were no needles! I’ll have to do them tomorrow…
Dragonquest has been idle for a long time… I have been addicted to the books. I still have half of the final book left, but I think I’ll save it for later and do some video gaming tonight.

I’m going to be a girl tonight. This includes hair coloring, exfoliating, hair removal, moisturizing, and most likely Oreos with chocolate milk. Of course, this is after making steak and potatoes for my man, barefooted in the kitchen (that is so overrated - the barefoot kitchen thing.. not the food). And I Quote….”There is no truer love, than the love of food.” I don’t know who said that, but who cares.
I worked late today… enough said? Yeah, I think so.
I need to go to bed earlier than I have been.. but that trilogy is just so good! I haven’t even taken a break from the first two books to write reviews on them! They’re a little predictable, but the writing is fresh and exciting.. besides, who doesn’t like to know stories have happy endings? If they were unpredictable I would be twice as tired as I am now. I’ll probably force myself to write a review on the first two tonight. After the girlie stuff.
Now I am off to create dinner for my Lord of the Realm. May you drool helplessly (unless you’re vegan).
