Basketball Night

February 27th, 2007

Again, we lost. But at least, this time, it was against an un-defeated team.

Videos will be coming in the next couple of days.

Other news, the LotR will be gone to California from Saturday this weekend until Wednesday next week. Aww. :( I’ll shall be quite pressed trying to figure out who to annoy. Nah, I’ll probably just play games. Or go get my hair cut drastically while he’s gone. (it’s getting too long, damnit)

Okay. More news later. I must go shower and sleep.

Object Pronouns….?

February 25th, 2007

Okay, so I barely remember what exactly an object pronoun is, and now I’m supposed to learn them in Spanish. How hard can a word like ‘it’ be? Pretty fucking hard, it seems. Depending on the gender and person of the verb/noun, ‘IT’ could be either ‘lo’, ‘le’, ‘me’, ‘te’, ‘la’, ’se’, ‘nos’, ‘los’, ‘las’, ’se’, or ‘les’. It’s driving me fucking crazy.

One more month, and then I’m done with the stupid class. Until Spanish II, that is. Freaking foreign language class requirements, and they don’t even offer the languages that I want to learn, which would be Swedish right now.

Kameo is enjoying her new role as my desktop decorator.

It seems that whatever it was that I was sick from is slightly abating. My head no longer feels like a wooden club, and my nose and eyes are no longer incessantly dripping faucets. The LotR, however, just got It.

I’m going to go bundle up that Kameo gal and take her to a nice cushy blanket and go to sleep.

Adios.

So, Here Goes

February 23rd, 2007

“What kind of music does a rabbit listen to?”

“Hip-Hop!”

This is what my little sister sent to me today. I got a card from her. A very nice card, in fact, with a homeade pocket made out of a Pirates of the Caribbean movie picture. In the pocket was a sketch of a horse (quite good, actually) and a picture of a model horse. I can’t believe that she knows how to spell ‘aquarium’ and ‘Terabithia’, but spells clothes “close”.

Okay. Now that the happy juice has spurted out, here come the complaints.
1. I’m sick. I have this nasty, nasty stuffy head cold.
2. That head cold is giving me a major headache.
3. It’s also making my nose raw, and my lip is split.
4. I’m way tired. But boy, was it worth it.
5. I think I sunburned myself again in the tanning bed.
6. SPANISH. MUST DO SPANISH. *stumbles around zombie-like*
7. My knee fucking hurts. We went to the gym today after work, and after warming up on the stationary bikes, I went to go play basketball. During a game, an opposing player got a fastbreak and went for the layup. I tried to stop him, yes, I did! But he was un-stoppable and plowed full-speed into dimunitive little ZoeJane and sent her sliding - yes, sliding - into the hard cement wall.

Well, maybe the wall wasn’t cement, but it sure felt like it.

So now, I think that I’m going to sit the night away in a fluffy, fleecy blanket and fluffy, fleecy socks drinking schnapps and eating once-frozen-now-thawed fish filets with tartar sauce (Hey, they’re good. Shut up.). I’ll probably get some of that Spanish out of the way to ease my conscience and then play some very mind-numbing games.

Ciao for now.

Math Problems? Think again!

February 19th, 2007

These are real answers to real math questions… I had to laugh pretty hard when a co-worker forwarded them on to me.

GameNight Photos and Another Update

February 18th, 2007

The LotR and I have decided that perhaps we need to expand our list of together-activities. So this week we went to IKEA and picked out a few items for the apartment. There was a corner expansion to my awesome blue computer desk that we found (it fits *perfectly* in the corner with less than an inch to spare).

We also bought a machine-manufactured oriental rug that the LotR’s father is sure to turn up his nose at, but it looks nice in the living room. We also got a few other items, such as a rug for the entryway, a set of popsicle-makers (peach schnapps and orange juice popsicles, yeah!), and a nice breadbox for the kitchen. While it’s not feasible to go on a shopping spree every time we need together-time, it worked for then.

For Valentine’s Day, the LotR had roses delivered to work, and I am taking him out to dinner at Houston’s tonight. Steak and baked potatoes! We also have a Harkin’s gift card and voucher for a free popcorn. I want to see Epic Movie, but he doesn’t, so maybe we’ll just wait until something we both want to see comes out.

Last night we had another game night… here are the pictures.
