Zoe’s Journal

Zoe’s Journal
Ideas are elusive, slippery things. Best to keep a pad of
paper and a pencil at your bedside, so you can stab them
during the night before they get away.

Little Things About You

August 30th, 2006

You sweetly ridicule
passively ignore
pretend not to hear
sarcastically joke
laugh it off
it is, yes, a joke.
as you brainwash
yourself and wonder
what happened to
that person you
once knew.
what happened
why won’t they deign
to speak with you
who are you fooling?
when you ridicule
ignore, mock,
abuse, look past
that person you
imagine is not there
away they go
into their world
to rant and rave
and write these
little things about you
